Simply Smashing

Long time, no blog...I have been gone a while, but have been busy and have lots to share. Today I am excited to show you a project that's been a little while coming--our Vacation Smash Book! Back in February we took our first-family-of-five vacation (other than up to the lake, which while it is a fun time away, for some reason doesn't have the chillin' on vaca vibe to it) It felt like quite an accomplishment, and I am proud that we wrangles all 3 kiddos on an airplane and through customs etc. etc. etc.

The Mini Smash book seemed like an ideal travel journal, although to be honest I only completed 2 pages or so while on the actual trip...It was the first time I tried scrapping on the road, and the challenge of not having the actual pictures in front of me proved to be too much. Having the book with me, however, was a helpful reminder to collect memorabilia and make note of some details which are easy to lose track of with 3 little ones.

Washi tape seemed like the obvious choice for the cover. That teeny flower embellishment shouldn't be there, and I'll probably add a title...
I used lots of Instagrams...what can I say--I'm addicted!
That's most of the pages, a few were pretty text-heavy so a little less interesting in photographs. I used lots of random stickers, these mini pockets, tape, twine, and doo-dads.

I'm linking up at Paper Issues Smash Party-- there's tons more Smash inspiration, and even a giveaway!

Don't have a Smash book? Make your own! Or go buy one--and don't forget to use the code Sukeydookiedoo for 20% off!!
